An immature peach hangs from a peach tree. The peach fuzz is clearly visible and the fruit is unblemished. Peaches are a difficult fruit to raise in the western part of Washington state but there are a few growers who are actively trying to develop methods to help grow local peaches for a local market. This particular peach is small and unripe but beautiful in its colorations and texture. The healthy, vibrant foliage indicates health in the tree the fruit is growing on and suggests that the mature fruit will be healthy and delicious.
